Shipping & Acclimation

Acclimated with care.

Imported plants need time to adjust. Birdhouse Plants gives imports a minimum of two weeks to acclimate before they are offered for sale. That gives us time to observe them, let them settle, and offer them with more confidence.

Shipping schedule

Orders are generally packed and shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays so plants spend as little unnecessary time in transit as possible.

Weather matters

Plant shipping is affected by temperature and severe weather. When conditions could put a plant at unnecessary risk, shipping may be adjusted or held. Any applicable weather or shipping options will be communicated with the order.

When your plant arrives

Shipping is still a transition, even for a healthy acclimated plant. Give your new arrival stable conditions, appropriate light and humidity, and a little time before making major changes to its environment.
